28 Weeks - Some Good News

Daddy Blog #3 - Hospital Day #2

We saw the doctor this morning. He was encouraged by the lack of contractions following the medications. He said normally people take about 24 hours to respond to the medication Tamara is taking, but Tamara responded in just over 30 minutes. She has experienced an occasional contraction, but no one in the hospital seems to think that is a concern. Actually, he was so encouraged by her response that he offered to let us go home today! We decided to make sure the meds were working for 48 hours and take advantage of the monitors for another day. He said he would check her cervix before we leave, assuming all goes well today.

So... we are overall happy and hopeful. Thank you for your encouraging calls, e-mails, texts and Facebook posts.

That's all for now, hopefully Tamara will be blogging from home tomorrow
