We don't celebrate Easter, but Owen loves bunnies (we have one in our front yard and his name is "Ocho" after our friend's cat. We asked Owen what he would like to name his baby brother, since Jeremy and I can't agree on a name, and he told us he wants to name him Ocho as well. We'll have to think about that one but it is a 4-letter name that starts with a vowel.. hmm...)
There was a huge stack of hay with empty plastic eggs buried in it. Owen had a great time searching for the eggs. We noticed several kids were dissapointed that the eggs were empty but O had no idea they are usually filled with stuff so he was thrilled just to find some!
{beautiful boy}
He even got to see some baby chicks and bunnies close up!
Owen and his buddy William have the best time together. The Mamas took the boys on a train ride!
We went into the market and grabbed some cheese and meats for a snack. This was the hardest part for us because we are observing Passover we couldn't eat any of the awesome looking Easter treats or the fresh-baked Amish doughnuts. We survived temptation and still had a fun picnic in the grass!
Owen did want a Twizzler that this strange bunny was carrying around in his basket...

Love this post - what fun! Connor also has no clue that plastic eggs usually have goodies in them. All the ones we hid at my sister's house were empty. The boys were clueless and had a blast finding them! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are the best Jewish parents ever :)
ReplyDeleteWE didn't do any bunny. So there you go; it all balances out.
I love seeing Mr. O looking all grown up.
The boys are now little boys rather than babies, and I am truly enjoying this stage of motherhood. Of course now Robbie is talking of another baby so...
