A Happy Sabbath Birthday

Owen had a very exciting day of his actual birthday. "Sissa" was here and we woke up early and headed to Tot Shabbat. Rabbi Donni sang a special "dinosaur Shabbat" song for Owen in honor of his big day! After Tot Shabbat we headed to the hospital because a very special Dr. Daddy was on call all day and all night and was devastated to miss his little's 2nd birthday. We surprised him with a visit from the birthday boy himself!

That night, just before dinner O got two more presents -- Nana and Papa!

Mama made a big homemade lasagna Shabbat dinner for us all, and Owen had meatballs (of course!) We welcomed the Sabbath with a dino-challah baked and shipped special for Owen by his Doda (God mother) Kelly. 

Then, thanks to Sissa's iphone, Daddy was able to join us just in time for Owen to blow out his candle. Jeremy was so happy not to miss this special moment, technology is absolutely wonderful.

This year, Owen knew EXACTLY what to do with his cupcake ;)

It was such a special night for our big 2 year old!
