New Years With Nana and Papa

Nana and Papa made a quick visit at the end of Jeremy's staycation. We spent New Year's eve at the zoo, trying out our new membership that they got us for Chanukah. It was such a beautiful day - 60 degrees and sunny, we couldn't believe it was the end of December. All of the animals were out and super active. It was a great afternoon.

 

We spent a lot of time in the aquarium - it was much less crowded than usual and we could get right up next to the glass with the penguins and the polar bear!

 Our friend Mrs. Lion was beautiful as ever!

And the weekend wouldn't be complete unless Owen and Papa read some stories together. He looks like SUCH a big boy drinking out of his straw cup while Papa reads to him (that little book is called Owen. It is about a boy and his blanket. Its adorable! Thanks for the recommendation Allison!)
