A special Valentine's Day Package

Owen's Valentine's Party

Owen had ten of his play group friends over to our house to celebrate valentine's day. We did some crafts and decorated sugar cookies.

Owen's best friend William was in town (we still haven't told him William moved away since they will be back in June) and the boys were so happy to celebrate together!

Ice Skating in Denver

One evening after dinner we ventured out to an outdoor mall skating rink. We were so happy to be the only ones skating that night and while it was pretty cold, we had a great time.

Gillen was bundled up but not very happy to be sitting out in the cold watching us skate, Gogi and Grammie Susie did their best to keep him warm and happy next to the heaters. Their help allowed Mama to skate too!

 We even got to spend some time on the ice alone together after Owen got tired :)

 Chloe joined us too! (she was a way better skater than all of us...)

Marble Run!

At Gogi's house there are tons of vintage toys to play with and Owen had a great time exploring them all. He found an old marble run and he put together the entire thing. We know something that is going on his birthday wish list!

Denver Children's Museum

Owen was thrilled to have his cousin Chloe join him at the Denver Children's Museum for a little fun before they closed. Afterwards we went to the playspace at REI (the original REI which is AH-MAZING) and then some frozen yogurt where Owen got to have his own bowl and pick out the toppings. Super fun night for this boy!

Denver Zoo

When we first booked our Denver trip we assured Owen he would get to play in the snow when we visited Gogi, little did we know the weather would be 60 and sunny and we'd enjoy a fun afternoon at the zoo. (of note: we forgot our camera so all of our Denver pictures were taken with my iphone)

He didn't ask about snow once :)

Off to Denver: Gillen's 1st Plane Trip

 We're headed off to Denver for a week for our first family vacation since Gillen was born. Owen was very excited about going on an airplane to see his "Gogi" and has been telling anyone who will listen all about it. We installed his car seat on the flight and he sat quietly eating his weigh in snacks while watching the iPad. Gillen fussed a little but mostly slept - overall a great plane trip! We're excited for our week in Denver!

One month away from three.

In one month, this boy - my favorite toddler in all the land - will be three.
