The trip to Hilton Head was LOOOONG, so we broke up the trip and drove 8.5 hrs to North Carolina to visit Jeremy's cousin Mary and her husband Seth and waited until the next day to drive the 6 hours to Hilton Head. We got in pretty late on Saturday but we did get to enjoy some s'mores and a bon fire! We were able to visit on the way back too and we left early so we could spend the day in North Carolina.
We went to a beautiful park for the afternoon that had so many fun things. Owen love running free after all the time spent in the car and we were happy to spend some time with Seth, Mary and Baby Clara.
Since we've been back Owen and I have to have this conversation about fifty times a day
O: Car ride, Daddy!
Me: Yes, you went on a long car ride with your Daddy (apparently I wasn't even there...)
O: SEF!
Me: Yes, you saw Seth. Who else did you see?
O: Kee-ra, baby Kee-ra (I guess Mary wasn't very memorable either...)
.....
O: Car ride, Daddy! SEF!
We brought Mary drool covers for her Ergo now that Clara Jane is big enough to fit in there
She even fell asleep, just like her cousin Owen used to do ;)
I took Owen for a ride on the Carousel
he was skeptical at first and this is what he looked like by the end of the ride
the group smiles for a picture before their train ride!
and the we stopped for a treat (dip 'n dots!) before heading home for dinner
getting Mary good and ready for toddlerhood ;)
We were so happy to spend time with Seth, Mary and Clara Jane
